Period Love – Bleed Green
Period Love – Bleed Green, Stonesoup Trust’s flagship initiative, promotes period positivity and sustainable menstruation by helping women and girls shift to reusable menstrual products. The program combines menstrual health awareness, education, product distribution, counselling, follow-up, behaviour change communication, and community support.

Period Club Initiative
Period Club is a youth-led leadership initiative that empowers college students to become Period Champions. Students are trained in menstrual health, sustainable menstruation, period positivity, leadership, community outreach, and communication skills, enabling them to create awareness and inspire positive change on campus and in their communities.

Club members conduct awareness sessions within their campuses and neighbouring schools and communities, creating informed, inclusive, and sustainable campuses while helping eliminate menstrual stigma.

Siddipet Sustainable Menstruation Project
Location: Siddipet District, Telangana
The Siddipet Sustainable Menstruation Project is a district-level initiative focused on promoting sustainable menstrual practices and reducing sanitary waste. The project initially reached 2,000 women and later expanded its reach to 1.5 lakh women. It achieved an 82.1% menstrual cup adoption rate, while sanitary waste was reduced from 80–90 kg per day to 15–20 kg per day within 45 days. The project has become one of India’s successful district-level models for sustainable menstruation.

Nagawala Sustainable Menstruation Project
Location: Nagawala Village, Mysuru District, Karnataka
The Nagawala Sustainable Menstruation Project is a community-based initiative focused on promoting sustainable menstrual practices and reducing sanitary waste. The project has reached 2,000 beneficiaries and achieved an impressive 96% adoption rate, supported by strong community engagement. The initiative has also contributed to a significant reduction in sanitary waste, demonstrating the effectiveness of a community-led approach to sustainable menstruation.
Barmer Sustainable Menstruation Project
Location: Barmer District, Rajasthan
The Barmer Sustainable Menstruation Project promotes sustainable menstrual practices by increasing menstrual health awareness and reducing dependence on disposable sanitary products. The project has reached 2,000 beneficiaries and achieved 75% adoption, demonstrating the impact of community-based approaches to sustainable menstruation.
Green Dot Project – Harit Dhara Rajasthan
Funded by Vedanta Limited – Cairn Oil & Gas, the Harit Dhara Rajasthan project was implemented by Stonesoup Trust in partnership with Dhara Sansthan to create sustainable livelihoods for rural women in Barmer. The project established a local reusable cloth pad production unit and trained 13 women as producers and 15 women as Green Dot Evangelists. It reached 2,000 women and girls across 20+ villages and achieved 76.6% adoption of sustainable menstrual products through structured follow-up. The initiative has created a women-led social enterprise combining livelihood generation, menstrual health awareness, and environmental sustainability.

Namma Swachha Kannamangala

Namma Swachha Kannamangala
Community Waste Management – Kannamangala
A community-owned decentralized waste management initiative implemented in Kannamangala Gram Panchayat, focusing on source segregation, door-to-door collection, composting, dry waste processing, women’s employment, and behaviour change. The initiative processes 72–88% of waste locally, handling 30–46 tonnes every month, transforming 20 blackspots, and onboarding 86 commercial establishments while creating a women-led green livelihood model.
Green Dot Initiative
The Green Dot Initiative is Stonesoup Trust’s women-led social enterprise that trains local women to produce reusable cloth pads and promote sustainable menstruation. With 8 Green Dot Centres across India, the initiative has empowered 240+ women through livelihoods, skills, and community awareness.
Harit Dhara Rajasthan

A workplace-based sustainable menstruation programme for women employees, combining awareness sessions, menstrual cup distribution, structured follow-up, and impact assessment. The initiative aims to improve menstrual health and significantly reduce disposable sanitary waste generated in the workplace.
CreditAccess India Foundation (CAIF)
Location: Dodda Maralvadi, Kanakapura Taluk, Ramanagara District
A community-based sustainable menstruation initiative involving menstrual cup distribution, awareness sessions, and structured follow-up through ASHA workers and peer networks. The programme focuses on creating measurable health, environmental, and economic impact while promoting sustainable menstrual practices within the community.

People Trust (Azuga Project)
Location: Rajankunte and surrounding villages, Bengaluru Rural
Supported by People Trust, the project focused on sustainable menstruation awareness and reusable menstrual product distribution among rural women. Continuous follow-up ensured greater product adoption while reducing sanitary waste.
Our Impact
Sustainable Menstruation
Stonesoup Trust’s sustainable menstruation initiatives have reached 15,000+ women directly and sensitized more than 100,000 women through awareness and community engagement. The programmes have achieved up to 96% product adoption, helping prevent thousands of kilograms of sanitary waste while improving menstrual health and reducing recurring menstrual expenses for women and girls.
Waste Management
Stonesoup Trust’s decentralized waste management programmes achieve 72–88% local waste processing, with 30–46 tonnes of waste processed every month. The initiatives establish community composting systems and create women-led waste enterprises, helping communities reduce their dependence on landfills and build sustainable local waste management systems.
Youth Engagement
Youth engagement is an important part of Stonesoup Trust’s approach. Period Clubs promote period positivity and menstrual awareness, while student leaders are trained as community ambassadors. Awareness sessions in schools and colleges help young people become changemakers who promote sustainable menstrual practices and responsible environmental behaviour.
